Victorian Style Cameo Necklace – A Classic Piece

Hi ladies! Well, after writing the post about the jewelry at the Lanvin 2012 Fall Collection held in Paris, and after being transported back into the era of Victorian fashion and romance, one style I couldn’t help but look for is: the cameo. For me, cameos are and will always be, a classic piece. Those who are romantic at heart will inevitably have a cameo piece in their jewelry collection (I do!).

As I went about researching, I wanted to know whether this style is still present nowadays, and though I’ve found just a few pieces of cameo here and there, I wasn’t disappointed!

Cameo is best worn alone, as a cameo is already a focal piece, so mixing it with other jewelry can be overwhelming. As a classic piece, I don’t think this style will ever disappear in the fashion world, and I expect quite a comeback in the coming months. Have you seen the Lanvin Fall Collection? With their emphasis on opulent and glamorous jewelry that hark back to the Victorian Era, expect fall jewelry trends to follow suit.

Here are some styles that I found at Nordstrom:
