Generally, wearing one color from head to toe is considered a fashion faux pas. Going all-black, in particular, can be seen as dull, not to mention that it can be labeled “emo” or “goth.”

If you’re thinking of playing it safe, a monochromatic ensemble can look pretty lifeless, especially if there aren’t any textures or accents to break the monotony of the outfit.

This is true for almost any color, most especially bright colors. Imagine wearing an all-pink outfit with matching shoes in the same shade of hot pink!

However, these are rare times when wearing a whole ensemble in just one color could work. And apparently, supermodel/supermom Heidi Klum is one of those select few who can pull off this particular style!

Channeling her goddess glamor in an Alexandre Vauthier Spring 2012 Couture Collection gown with twin thigh-high slits and a plunging neckline, accessorizing with turquoise statement jewelry from Lorraine Schwartz, and finishing off her ensemble with turquoise Charlotte Olympia Ursula strappy sandals, Heidi looked ridiculously hot at the 64th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards!

She looked gorgeous that night, and her one-color ensemble got her on best-dressed lists! No fashion faux pas here!

Seeing an overload of turquoise in the model’s ensemble reminds us that it is one of the hot colors this fall season. Also, her gorgeous jewelry from the renowned jeweler to the stars Lorraine Schwartz makes me fall in love with this hue even more!
