The dresses at this year’s Met Gala were outstanding, but let’s not forget about the jewels. We were not disappointed with the gorgeous sparklers on the red carpet. However, there were only a handful of pieces that really stood out.
We’ve listed the five celebs who wore the most outrageous jewelry pieces at the 2016 Met Gala:
1. Kate Bosworth’s Dolce & Gabbana Crown

While Lupita’s jade-colored Calvin Klein ensemble failed to impress on the red carpet, her jewelry pieces definitely caught our attention.

The Oscar winner chose an array of gorgeous Tiffany & Co. diamond jewelry to pair with her dress.
“We kept the makeup monochromatic and played with shine, with metallic on the eyes and bronzy lips against her skin,” makeup artist Nick Barose said about Lupita’s look.

Madonna received some flak for her scandalous ensemble since she chose a risque Givenchy outfit for the event.
But, as always, the Queen of Pop was bold and brave in her fashion decision and confidently rocked her sheer, bondage-inspired couture creation.

To further amp up the look, Madonna wore several pieces of Neil Lane jewelry — ranging from a headpiece to body jewelry, that amounted to about 400 carats.
“There were boobs out there, there was butt out there and the jewels complemented that,” Brooklyn-born jewelry maker Neil Lane told Page Six about Madonna’s outfit.
“Those jewels are coming back really happy with big smiles on their faces,” he added and said her headpiece wasn’t supposed to go on someone’s head.
“What they did it was their idea. That was their concept. I gave them free range. I presented them with chains, but when it came to how they put it and where they put it it was up to them. It was a great surprise for me when Madonna walked on the red carpet and I saw what she’s done with my stuff.”
