It’s not often that I find American Idol Season 12 judge Nicki Minaj’s ensembles tastefully put together. She normally chooses to wear risque, eccentric or even controversial outfits. Anyone remember the blood red robe ensemble and the Pope look-a-like she brought with her to last year’s Grammy Awards?
With that in mind, I was delightfully surprised by the gorgeous ensemble she wore on New Year’s Eve!
Nicki Minaj hosts the New Year’s Eve affair at Pure Nightclub inside Caesars Palace Resort and Casino in Las Vegas on December 31, 2012
The bombshell singer looked all glammed up and glittering in gold. Nicki welcomed the new year wearing a metallic gold Herve Leger bandage dress by Max Azria and paired it with a pair of Christian Louboutin 160 glitter ‘Daffodil’ platform pumps.
To accessorize, Nicki went all Versace, choosing the Medusa coin necklace and bracelet set to make a statement and complement her outfit. The American rapper, singer, songwriter and actress also added a gold Versace cuff bracelet with a matching cuff ring on her other hand. What do you think of her look? While she might be dressed in gold from head to foot, we think that her whole ensemble was just right for her, and most importantly, not overdone.
We also loved the coin necklace and bracelet set from Versace, and think that it’s the perfect accessory choice to ring in the New Year. In some places, wearing coins on New Year’s Eve will bring you luck in the money department all-year round (maybe that’s what Nicki was aiming for?) In any case, the coin necklace and bracelet certainly made a statement!
