True to her style icon status, Nicole Richie was at the top of the trends in this Keepsake ‘Lost Without You’ dress in a very-in-for-fall saffron yellow color at the 2011 Environmental Media Awards held at the Warner Bros. Studios Saturday last week:

Nicole Richie paired her dress Christian Louboutin’s ‘Luxura’ ankle strap pumps, a House of Harlow 1960 Tilda studded box clutch, and Neil Lane jewelry.
The American fashion designer, author, actress and television personality is actually wearing many interesting jewelry pieces, but let’s focus on what caught our attention the most. Of course, that’s none other than that sparkling diamond-encrusted beaded bangle on her right wrist:

It looks interesting, heavy and needless to say, mighty expensive. But if that multi-bead (each one encrusted with diamonds) design isn’t a statement-making piece of jewelry, I don’t know what is!
That Neil Lane diamond bead bangle is one-of-a-kind, but we found ways to recreate the look for less. First is to get a few open-ended bangles like the ones below and stack ’em up the arm like there’s no tomorrow:
Majorica stainless steel and white pearl bangles, $85.00; Noir gold-tone square pave stacking bangle, $88.00
Another way is to forego the expensive diamond-encrusted beads entirely and make it a little boho chic like this coiled bangle set from Sibilia:

Or replace the diamonds with just-as-pretty pearls such as this wired cuff bracelet from Susan Hanover Designs:

We’re also liking the wrapped wire nuggets on this Citrine by the Stones three-bangle set as an alternative to the diamonds:

But if you really like to go big and expensive, here are some multi-thousand-dollar options from Italian jeweler Marco Bicego:
