Last year, we saw a plethora of statement necklaces all over Tinseltown. A consumer poll revealed that statement necklaces in the fashion jewelry and accessories department claimed the more significant chunk of the pie in 2011.

As many of you have hoped, we predict the return of statement rings this year! The photo below shows celebrities like Ciara, Kristen Stewart, and Paris Hilton wearing cool, playful rings to complete their 2012 MTV Movie Awards looks!

Kristen Stewart has always loved the rocker look. Even her makeup is usually on the smoky to Gothic side. Quilted leather jackets and skinny jeans are her choices of streetwear.

It was unsurprising to find her wearing urban and edgy pieces and accessories. Her extended ring was the Berbère rhodium-plated sterling silver link ring from Repossi, which cost $1,075.

Makers of fine jewelry have also embraced the trend. “The bigger, the better” seems to be the modern mantra of today’s Haute designers, especially regarding statement jewelry. Socialite Paris Hilton includes that quite well in her ensembles.

When in doubt, wear no more accessories but the bling rings! Skip everything else and let your fingers do the talking! Whether in rugged jeans or dainty dresses, a statement ring or two (or three!) will never be out of place.

You can wear a single ultra-sized ring whenever you feel too casual or underdressed. Adding that to your next outfit will make a big, big, big difference!
