Siberian Designers Tijana and Mila Popovic Steal the Show at Birmingham Fashion Week With Unique Headpieces

Birmingham International Fashion Week just started, and we’ve already seen many interesting jewelry headpieces on the fashion show runways!

Most of the participating international fashion designers presented their A/W ’13 collections, which included ready-to-wear, couture, and emerging pieces.

One particular show that wowed us to the toes was from the Siberian sister designers Tijana and Mila Popovic! The duo designers are known to recycle, redesign, and reconstruct materials made from high-quality but natural, organic fabrics.

Seeing their A/W ’13 collection come alive on the runway was a delight! But the real treat was seeing a variety of unique headpieces worn by the models during the fashion show. Check ’em out below:

Tijana and Mila Popovic, sisters with MSc degrees in graphic design from the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad, Serbia, have been pioneers of eco-design in the Balkan region, integrating sustainable practices across various forms of applied art.

Since launching their fashion careers in 2006 with their debut collection, “Cash for Trash,” at Belgrade Fashion Week, they have critiqued consumer culture through their work.
